What is the St Helier Music and Community Festival?
The St Helier Festival is an annual event held in June to support, promote & facilitate community cohesion in the London Borough of Sutton. The Festival has become an important event in the St Helier Community calendar which was organised up until 2018 by The Sutton Federation for Tenants & Residents Association & The St Helier Festival Steering Group; For 2018, a volunteer led, not-for profit, group will organise, run & facilitate the event, enabling it to continue, grow & flourish. This has meant the event will have more emphasis on the youth, performers & charities in the community & is supported by The London Borough of Sutton, Sutton Safer Neighbourhoods, Celeb FC, Local Councillor Jean Crossby, Rocoja Ltd and The David Weir Leisure Centre.
Now entering its 10th year, the 2018 St Helier Festival is to be held on Saturday 30th June and our aim is to provide a free fun day for all in the community; showcasing local entertainment & talent, which this year will have a huge main stage, along with community groups & causes with stalls & information stands.
Thanks to the David Weir Leisure Centre, the Arena area will see a huge emphasis on children’s entertainment, including Disney characters, Bouncy castles, inflatables & games; In the main area there will be tournaments & other sporting activities along with some special surprises…
